The ‘Webber’ is a casual game of bowls for members at the club. It’s an ideal opportunity for beginners to learn more about the rules of a game and also the etiquette involved in playing against another team.
It’s designed as a useful stepping stone for those that have completed coaching sessions at the club, to progress to playing in club friendly games. It can also be just a bit of fun for all members on our regular social evening at the club.
The Webber is usually held weekly on a Friday evening, May – September. Teams are drawn from those that join on the day and games are usually triples or fours, depending on the number of players available. Games start at 6.15 pm (so please register to play between 5.45 pm and 6.00 pm) and last for approximately two hours. Players on a winning team are awarded points. Cost per game is £1.00.
